🚢 Noah's Ark — The Great Flood

A Bible story for children from Genesis 6-9

The Story

A long, long time ago, the world had become very wicked. People had forgotten about God and were doing terrible things. But there was one man who loved God with all his heart — his name was Noah.

God told Noah, "I am going to send a great flood to wash the earth clean. But I want to save you and your family. Build a big boat — an ark — and bring two of every kind of animal inside."

Noah obeyed God even though people laughed at him. He worked for many years building the enormous ark. When it was finished, the animals came — two by two — lions, elephants, birds, even tiny insects! Then Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives went inside.

It rained for 40 days and 40 nights. Water covered the entire earth, even the tallest mountains. But everyone inside the ark was safe! After many months, the water began to go down. Noah sent out a dove, and it came back with an olive branch — a sign that dry land had appeared!

When everyone finally left the ark, God put a beautiful rainbow in the sky. He promised Noah, "I will never flood the entire earth again." Every rainbow reminds us of God's promise.
